Hydrangea paniculata Wim's Red is a recent introduction with amazing qualities. Abundant strong stems of large panicles of honey scented flowers emerge white, turn pink and then a dark burgundy red. Its long flowering period and multiple colour transition make this a rather special plant. Easy to grow in full sun or semi shade in most moist, fertile soils. Does not grow well in chalky soils. Hydrangea paniculata Wim's Red can be grown in the garden or in a pot or container. In containers, use a good quality compost. Ensure you feed regularly as a hungry plant is a poor performer.
