In alkaline soils the flowers open a charming light baby pink with whiter centers, maturing to rich mid pink. In acid soils the flowers are a bluish colour. Ayesha is best grown as a pink variety in alkaline soils. Treatment with bluing agent can help produce blue flowers however this is much more successful in pots than in the borders. Very easy to grow in a slightly shaded location in most reasonable quality, moist soils. It can be grown in the garden or in a pot or container. In containers, use a good quality compost. Ensure you feed regularly as a hungry plant is a poor performer. We recommend Osmoscote pro 8-9 month applied in the early spring. One application gives all the nutrients the plant requires for the whole year.
